Kassy slid down the door, closed her eyes. Her hands eventually fell to her sides. Sketchy Sky wished right then for the ability to reach into her heart and make it feel laughter and joy and light again. She was only eighth years old, though for some reason everyone still thought of her as seven. It was as if age eight had not yet arrived, but nine was approaching soon.

 

It's November 10, 2022. Christmas is on the way. What will the day bring?
